Lost Android Phone

Here's how you can track your Android phone:

If you lost an Android phone, Android Device Manager (ADM) will help you. Proceed to https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager and login with your Gmail ID and password. This will give you the options to not only locate your phone using GPS, but also to remotely lock the phone and erase your phone. You can also make your phone sound an alarm (even if it is on silent) from ADM.

Android Device Manager will not work if:
  1. Your phone is not connected to the internet (Wi-Fi/ Mobile data)
  2. If you have deleted/ changed the ADM settings in the 'Google settings' app on your phone previously
  3. Location Services (GPS) is turned off on your phone.
If the above steps do not work due to location services being turned off on the device, then you can still push Theis Borg's 'Android lost' to your device from Google Play. Click here to push Android lost to your device (Don't forget to select your device and then click on the 'Install' button. Once 'Android Lost' has been installed, head off to www.androidlost.com. Click Sign-in on the top right and use your Gmail ID and password. You can click on SMS, then under the SMS allow pane enter the mobile number through which you can control your phone with SMS commands. Thereafter, you can turn on location services by sending androidlost gps as an SMS to your mobile number. This SMS will cause Android Lost to enable the GPS on your mobile and return a SMS with the current location of your device.
